Article 9

The Lord Jesus Christ, of whom Moses and the prophets wrote and whom the apostles preached, is the Son of God and the radiance of His glory. Through Him God made the world, and He upholds and governs all that He has made. When the fullness of time came, He was born of a woman, of the tribe of Judah and the offspring of Abraham and David, namely the virgin Mary. The Holy Spirit came upon her and the power of the Most High overshadowed her. Christ was tempted as we are, yet without sin.¹
